Safer Internet Day 2024: Record numbers again for the #cuoriconnessi event by Unieuro and the Italian State Police
On Tuesday, February 6th, the live-streamed #cuoriconnessi event took place in Rome: over 225,000 students connected from all over Italy to reflect together on the importance of the correct and responsible use of technology.
In the first part, moderated by Rudy Bandiera, recent developments in online crime and cyberbullying were discussed, with interventions by Vittorio Pisani, Chief of Police – Director General of Public Security Prefect, and Giancarlo Nicosanti Monterastelli, CEO of Unieuro.
The conclusions were entrusted to the Minister of the Interior, Matteo Piantedosi, who, in a video link from the Viminale, recalled the centrality of the issue of cyberbullying and the importance of preventing the phenomenon. During the event, Luca Pagliari presented the new book in the “#cuoriconnessi” series, now in its fifth publication, which can be downloaded for free on cuoriconnessi.it in data-free mode.
The paper version of the book has been distributed free of charge by the COSC (Cybersecurity Operational Centers) of the Postal Police in schools throughout Italy and at all Unieuro stores without any obligation to purchase.
