Our commitment
Our community initiatives
Being a market leader is far more than selling products or services and working to achieve business objectives, it’s about contributing to a community, expressing and bestowing our values, responding to the ethical, social and environmental needs of society. Critical issues on which we are, and will be, increasingly called upon to respond to.
At Unieuro, we are nearly 6,000 people across the country. A vast and diverse workforce that constantly needs to engage with something beyond business results. We feel a strong responsibility for the technology and network-connected devices we sell every day in stores and online, which are increasingly present in our lives.
We must keep pace, quickly assimilate their extraordinary potential, and contribute to transforming them into opportunities for study, work, fun, discovery, and understanding others, while at the same time learning to recognize their pitfalls.
Fostering a consistently positive experience with technology in everyday life is our commitment and our greatest passion. Because we believe that technology without a heart has little to do with progress. Technology should serve people, not the other way around. Everyone, without exception, is called upon to confront these new paradigms.

Digital Education
cuoriconnessi is a project conceived and implemented by Unieuro in collaboration with the Italian State Police to combat cyberbullying and promote the conscious use of network-connected devices.
#cuoriconnessi activities are aimed at Italian secondary schools and have always involved students with the help of teachers and parents.
Launched in 2016, the project has grown year after year in terms of numbers and initiatives and now stands as a real communication format capable of conveying valuable informative and educational content and interacting with young people in a new way, allowing us to get to know their stories and experiences more closely. In Italy, there are now countless schools that use the content of the cuoriconnessi.it website as teaching material, which can be downloaded or viewed completely free of charge.
“To ensure that young people using social media are both aware and responsible, it is essential to recover, in our schools, educational values such as, respect, human dignity and legality, which are the basis of the fundamental freedoms in our Constitution”
Vittorio Pisani, Chief of Police – General Director of Public Security.
Partnering with the Italian State Police was a game-changer for our project. It gave us instant credibility and helped us grow in amazing ways.
The stories
The stories of #cuoriconnessi
“Our collaboration with Luca Pagliari, a journalist and storyteller who has been working on youth issues for many years, has allowed us to collect hundreds of stories and testimonies. These are complex and unexpected life journeys, each different and distant in terms of dynamics, cultures, and territories, that reach the hearts of young people and spark deep reflections on the proper use of technology and the internet.
Every teenager who, identifying with these stories, finds the courage to come out of isolation, to open up, to talk about it, is tangible proof of the project’s value. They are the ones who give us the strength and enthusiasm to renew our commitment with ever greater vigor and determination.
“The constantly growing numbers of #cuoriconnessi confirm that we must continue to work on this shared path of raising awareness about the responsible use of the internet and connected devices, which are increasingly integral and indispensable parts of our lives.”
Giancarlo Nicosanti Monterastelli, CEO Unieuro
The project content
the books
The #cuoriconnessi series, now in its fifth volume, collects the stories and testimonies of girls and boys who are victims of cyberbullying but also of those who have found an ally in technology to build a future for themselves, to help others and to expand their knowledge.

“Le parole nel cuore” and “La storia di Sofia” are two #cuoriconnessi docufilms that tell the story of two teenagers through their voice and perspective, as well as the testimonies of parents, teachers and the State Police. The new docufilm “Non ne vale la pena” will be launched during 2024, relaying the recovery path undertaken by a group of young people after committing serious online crimes.

The decalogue is the result of a project carried out by students who responded to the invitation contained in “Madi’s Story,” the first #cuoriconnessi summer comic book featuring a girl who is a victim of body shaming. The narrative served as a starting point for reflection, leading to the development of 10 useful tips to combat cyberbullying and promote mutual respect and the fight against all forms of discrimination.
From these contributions, the decalogue was born, created by young people and designed for young people.

Schermi futuri
Alongside #cuoriconnessi, there’s Schermi Futuri, the first research project dedicated to understanding all the phenomena brought about by innovation. A Unieuro research project, in collaboration with Ipsos and under the scientific direction of Dr. Paolo Crepet.
Schermi Futuri is the first concrete step of an Observatory focused on the relationship between people and technology to investigate, also through scientific research, those phenomena that often silently impact people in their journey to discover the infinite potential that technology brings.
Schermi Futuri is part one of an Observatory aimed at the relationship between people and technology that investigates, through scientific research, those phenomena that often go undetected, yet impact people in their adventure to discover the infinite potential that technology represents.
“We believe that innovation, while unlocking human potential, must be studied through a human lens. Data alone cannot fully capture the nuances of the complex phenomena arising from technological advancements, making it essential to understand the human experience at the heart of these changes”.
Giancarlo Nicosanti Monterastelli, CEO Unieuro
Generazione Z
A research started by Gen Z
Generation Z takes center stage in the inaugural phase of this research initiative, which aims to delve into the intricate relationship between young people and social media. By exploring their online behaviors, emotions, and self-perception, we seek to uncover the subtle ways in which social media influences their lives.
Dr. Paolo Crepet, along with our technical partner Ipsos, has designed a comprehensive questionnaire to capture the nuanced experiences of young people navigating the digital landscape. This research marks the beginning of a long-term endeavor to understand the evolving dynamics between different generations and technology.
“Young people are living through strange and unprecedented times the effects of which will be continually studied in years to come. It is necessary to fully understand how they live and how they transition between virtual and real life scenarios, it is key for all parties involved to be active and reassuring partners in the growth and development of this generation”
Dr. Paolo Crepet, Scientific Director of Research on Generation Z

Prime center
Unieuro’s commitment to promoting the positive use of technology is also prevalent within the Prime Center project: a multifunctional centre dedicated to prevention, rehabilitation and integrative medicine.
Prime Center, established in Cesena on the grounds of a redeveloped disused building, maintains the objective of offering cancer patients support to better tolerate therapies, aid recovered patients with multidisciplinary paths aimed at maintaining the best quality standards of life, as well as to educate non-patients as to the importance of preventative routines and behaviours.
Prime Center is also a reference centre for teachers and students, from pre-school to secondary school, with ad-hoc information and training programs on correct lifestyles, on which to develop multimedia projects dedicated to prevention routines to be shared in class, thanks also to the technologies provided by Unieuro.
Unieuro believes that Prime Center represents an opportunity to invest in the well-being of young people whilst contributing to the education of adults who are protagonists and responsible for their own health, aware of the importance of living healthily and rejecting forms of addiction.
Sport
In addition to its commitment to social initiatives, Unieuro is actively involved in supporting local sports communities and promoting the positive values associated with sports.
