Personnel training and career development
We view training as a strategic investment that empowers our employees, fosters a strong corporate culture, supports career development, and drives organizational change.
Every year we invest in the professional growth of our employees through numerous and diverse training initiatives.
The compulsory training courses required by law (Health and Safety, Organisational Model 231, Privacy) are supplemented by additional courses and training tools, dedicated to personnel in both stores and headquarters, such as the multi-year training campaign on Sustainability, fully consistent with the Strategic Plan.
In 2009, we launched an Academy dedicated to training future store managers of Unieuro points of sale. The participants, identified within the company through an internal application process, are selected via assessment centres and selection interviews. Once chosen, they take part in a training and development programme that alternates classroom learning with on‑the‑job experience.
In addition to the Trainee Store Manager Academy, a training programme entirely dedicated to affiliated stores was launched in 2025 to strengthen the relationship with representatives of indirect network and further enrich Unieuro’s training ecosystem.
An example of one such training activity was carried out during FY24 aimed at promoting knowledge and understanding of the Beyond Omni-Journey strategic plan. In full accordance with the plan, a training programme with a focus on Sustainability was also launched, involving the entire company population for a period of three years.
For the benefit of colleagues at headquarters, the Unieuro Corporate Academy was established: a training offering aligned with the priorities of the Beyond Everyday Strategic Plan and the Unieuro Leadership Model. Thanks to a structured process of gathering training needs, the company continues to refine and enrich its initiatives, designing courses that contribute to supporting colleagues in carrying out their roles with increasing effectiveness, to accompany them in facing the phases of change and transformation, to develop the critical skills for the pursuit of the given strategy, and to promote the Corporate Culture, in line with the values and the Leadership Model.
